Now, we are working on an Animal Classification Unit in Japanese class, as part of an integrated 5th grade Science unit. We will be watching a new and popular series called “ どうぶつの森” (Animal’s Forest) which was developed from the popular DS game called Animal Crossing. There are 8 episodes and we are getting really good at picking out words we know and understanding the spoken Japanese in the context of what is happening in each scene!

Today we are creating an "Origami" Zoo. You and your partner need to pick 1-2 Origami Animals, follow the directions in Japanese and fold them to add to our "zoo".
